How to Apply

The Johns Hopkins Orthopaedic Surgery Residency is designed to provide a broad foundation in the subspecialties of orthopaedic surgery. During the five years of the residency program, you will develop clinical and surgical skills by working closely with faculty members in providing patient care and conducting research.

How to Apply

Graduation from an accredited medical school is the first prerequisite for acceptance into the program. All applications are reviewed and interviews for prospective candidates are arranged on the basis of medical school record, research experience, extracurricular activities and letters of recommendation. Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Please prepare to submit the following: board scores, three recommendation letters from clinical faculty and a personal statement. Dean's letters and transcripts will be the only documentation accepted after the deadline. 

In-person interviews are required. Interview dates TBA. Applicants will be informed of the interview decision via ERAS email.
